Acceptable Use Policy.

1 Introduction and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to every user of EM : Beyond Reach. It supplements the Terms of Service between you and Emto Max Holdings Ltd (Anguilla).

Use the service lawfully, respect other people, and do not use the platform to put the service, its users, or its infrastructure at risk.

2 Nature of the Platform

EM is a sovereign, closed-loop private communications platform built on the Matrix protocol. Federation is disabled. The service is not connected to public Matrix homeservers, public room directories, or unrelated third-party networks.

The closed-loop design and end-to-end encryption are not permission to use EM for unlawful conduct. You remain responsible for your messages, files, calls, and actions.

3 Prohibited Activities

You must not use EM to:

• create, request, store, transmit, or distribute child sexual abuse material;
• make credible threats, incite violence, or facilitate terrorism;
• stalk, harass, intimidate, or abuse another person;
• distribute malware, ransomware, phishing material, or other harmful code;
• obtain unauthorised access to an account, device, server, network, or data;
• probe, scan, overload, disrupt, or degrade the service or its infrastructure; or
• run bots, scrapers, bulk messaging, or other automated abuse without permission.

You must also comply with applicable laws and must not help another person break this Policy.

4 No Content Monitoring or Inspection

EM is designed as a zero-knowledge communications service. We do not routinely monitor, inspect, or read message content, and we do not use client-side scanning. End-to-end encryption means that we cannot use content inspection as a general enforcement mechanism.

We may act on information available to us about service abuse, account security, or infrastructure attacks. Nothing in this section prevents us from responding to a valid legal obligation or an immediate threat to the service or another person.

5 Enforcement and Termination

If we reasonably believe that you have breached this Policy, we may limit, suspend, or terminate access; refuse activation or renewal; or take technical steps needed to protect the platform and its users. We may act without prior notice where necessary to prevent harm.

A suspension or termination does not create a right to a refund. Account lifecycle rules still apply, including Restricted Mode on Day 366 and automated cryptographic shredding on Day 373.
